When I stepped into the maritime and energy world five years ago, it felt like jumping onto a moving vessel mid-voyage. The industry had seemed to be just starting to wrap its arms around decarbonization, emissions reporting, digital innovation, DEI, and I’ve seen some big transformations since then. We’ve gone from fragmented conversations to coordinated change. From box-ticking to bold commitments. From legacy systems to smart, future-ready infrastructure. But let’s be honest: the pressure is more on than ever. Smart Port is where visionaries, innovators, and policy shapers come together for real ACTION, says Stefana Sopco, Marketing Manager at PortXchange

Sue Terpilowski OBE, PortXchange’s Maritime Expert Writer, will also be taking a key part of the day. Sue, the Founder of Image Line Communications and WISTA International Diversity Chair, will moderate and contribute to the Women in Maritime panel discussion. As a dedicated advocate for diversity and leadership in the maritime industry, Sue’s insights and experience are sure to spark meaningful conversations.

The conference will offer a fantastic opportunity to hear from maritime executives and thought leaders from around the world, sharing valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the industry. Expect an inspiring mix of discussions on smart ports, sustainability, and innovation, all while forging valuable connections with like-minded professionals.

Networking and More

With plenty of time for networking, the event is an excellent opportunity to meet industry players, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Whether you’re looking to learn from the best or create new partnerships, this is the place to be.

In addition to the main sessions, there will be exclusive B2B closed-door meetings, offering participants a chance to dive deeper into specific topics or business opportunities in a more private setting. Plus, don’t miss out on the Exclusive Technical Tour, where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the cutting-edge technologies transforming the maritime world.

We can’t wait to see you at the Smart Port Conference 2025. Keep your calendar free for 15 April and join us for a day of inspiration, learning, and networking as we explore the future of maritime together. See you at Wereldmuseum, Rotterdam.
